What is a WordPress Website?

WordPress It is a content management system on which the majority of websites in the world operate. It allows pages, posts, images, and menus to be edited through an administration panel; you do not need to know code to update the site.

The reason we choose WordPress is not because it is popular, but because part of the work is already solved. User management, media library, content editing, multilingual support, SEO infrastructure — all of these have been tested on millions of sites for years.

This reflects directly on the project: in a site built from scratch, the months-long infrastructure and panel development phase does not exist here. Effort is truly allocated to where it makes a difference — design and content .

As a result, a corporate site built with WordPress is launched faster and is more economical compared to a site built from scratch. But this does not mean buying a ready-made template and just changing the logo.

Our Theme Approach

We do not buy a ready-made template and put a logo in it. We work in one of two ways: child theme writing a custom layer over a solid main theme, or custom theme coding the theme from scratch.

Comparison of child themes and bespoke WordPress themes, including their benefits and suitable project types.

The difference in short is this: a child theme goes live in a shorter time and your customisations do not break when the main theme is updated. A custom theme, on the other hand, carries only the code you need, therefore giving the lightest and fastest result. Which one is correct is determined according to the budget and the projected lifespan of the project. The design itself in both cases is created from scratch and uniquely made.

Two Weak Points of WordPress

There are two complaints most frequently heard about WordPress: slow and insecure. Neither of them is wrong — but both stem not from WordPress itself, but from neglect.

WordPress speed and security checklist covering caching, image optimisation, updates, access protection and backups.

The most common cause of slowness is plugin accumulation. A plugin is installed for every need, unused ones are not deleted, and the site gradually becomes heavy. On the sites we set up, we consciously keep the number of plugins low, preferring to write a few lines of code into the theme rather than solving a task with a plugin.

Outdated core or plugins, weak account security, and server configuration are among the security risks. Regular updates, access controls, and verified backups should be evaluated together. We take care of these under a maintenance agreement scope.

Scope of Our Service

  1. Installation and Configuration
WordPress is installed, persistent connection structure, user roles, and basic settings are adjusted according to the project.
  2. Custom Theme or Child Theme
The approved design is implemented on the child theme or a custom theme written from scratch.
  3. Administration Panel Editing

  6. Training and Handover
It is shown how to use the panel; the site is delivered under your control.

WordPress Not Suitable for Every Project

We are saying this upfront. If you are going to establish a non-standard workflow, expect very high traffic, or the system needs to operate like an application, WordPress may not be the right tool. In these cases custom software website or custom software development an alternative approach is healthier.

Our goal is not to convince you to use the tool we use, but to choose the tool that suits your needs.

Things to check upon delivery of a WordPress site

On a WordPress site, it is not enough for the design to be completed. The licences of the theme and plugins to be used, update responsibility, and backup recovery method should be part of the delivery scope.

  • Check that the administrator and content editor roles are appropriately separated for daily tasks.
  • Test form submission, mobile usage, and basic page layouts with real content.
  • Ask whether updates will be tested in the staging environment first and the recovery path in case of issues.

The fact that the WordPress core has no licence fee does not mean that all the site’s expenses are free. Consider hosting, paid theme or plugin renewals, maintenance, and custom developments as separate items. Even if the theme changes, plugin development can be considered for special functions that need to be preserved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Because part of the work already comes solved. User management, media library, content editing panel, and search engine infrastructure are not built from scratch. This eliminates months of development time from the project. Design and content require the same effort; the shortened part is the infrastructure.

No. We work in one of two ways: either writing a custom layer on top of a solid parent theme with a child theme, or coding the theme from scratch. In both cases, the design is customised for you; we do not use the method of buying a ready template and just changing the logo.

A child theme is built on top of an existing and tested parent theme; since the design and code are written in the child theme, customisations are not broken when the parent theme is updated, and the project can go live in a shorter time. A custom theme is coded from scratch, carrying only the code you need and providing the lightest result. The choice is made according to the budget and the predicted lifespan of the project.

Yes. You can edit pages, text, visuals, and menus through the panel. We deliver the panel in a simplified way: the areas you will use are open, while technical areas that could break the site are hidden. We also show how to use the panel during delivery.

Yes, when maintained. Almost all security issues come from an outdated core or plugin. On the sites we set up, we implement login page protection, two-step verification, hardening of file permissions, and a regular update schedule; we also test that backups can actually be restored.

It happens when plugins accumulate. When a plugin is installed for every need and unused ones are not deleted, the site gradually becomes slower. We consciously keep the number of plugins low and prefer to write a few lines of code in the theme instead of solving a task with a plugin. Caching, image optimisation, and database maintenance can improve performance; results should be measured on real pages and usage conditions.

Yes. We perform transfers from another infrastructure or different hosting. Contents, images, and as much of the link structure as possible are preserved; if the address has to change, redirects are set up to ensure that the existing value in search engines is not lost.

Yes. We are setting up the language infrastructure for the site to be published in a second language, and we are planning the menu and content structure accordingly. We are also discussing from the beginning how the translation content will be produced; a half-finished translation looks worse than no translation at all.
